Tutoring Tips

Don’t wait until the last minute!  While walk-ins are welcome in our onsite locations, availability depends upon the number of tutoring requests and tutor schedules.  Plan ahead for guaranteed time with a tutor and give yourself enough time to apply the tutoring assistance to your work before it is due.

Come prepared.  Bring your assignment, notes, any work you have completed, and a list of questions you have about the work.

Actively participate in the tutoring session.  Ask questions and engage in discussion with your tutor.  Remember, the tutors cannot complete your work for you.  Use your time with the tutor wisely and accomplish as much as you can during your work session.

Need a follow-up session?  Don’t forget to schedule a follow-up session, especially if you are working on a long term project.
