Graduate Honoring PowWow

Join Salish Kootenai College (SKC) May 17th and 18th for a weekend of celebration at the 2024 Graduate Honoring PowWow! Powwows are vibrant gatherings that weave together dance, song, and community spirit. Witness the energy of the Grand Entry, featuring a special tribute to SKC graduates alongside local headstart, elementary, and high school graduates. The powwow floor comes alive with a kaleidoscope of colors as dancers of all ages, from Tiny Tots to Golden Age, showcase their talents in various dance styles. This is a cultural celebration not to be missed!

Graduate Honoring

As we celebrate achievements, the 2024 Graduate Honoring PowWow shines a bright light on our graduating classes. SKC proudly honors its Class of 2024 alongside local graduates from Headstart, 8th grade, and high school during a special Grand Entry procession. This is a momentous occasion where graduating SKC students will receive their official graduation stoles and tassels, marking their academic journey. Don't miss this opportunity to witness the collective pride and celebrate the success of our future leaders!

This is a celebration for our entire community and we're proud of every graduate of every school on our reservation. There is no barrier for participation or admission at our celebration. Come one, come all and enjoy this celebration.

The SKC Graduate Honoring Powwow is excited to feature a professional photographer to capture the excitement of our dance competitions. These photos will primarily focus on the contest dancers in action.

Please be aware: Spectators and other non-contest dancers may be visible in the background of these photos.
