Public Health Associate of Science

The Public Health Associate of Science Degree is designed for students who want to pursue careers and activities in health and wellness. Students completing this degree will be prepared to help clients achieve health goals and to work on community-wide projects to foster health and wellness. Students will gain skills to help clients prevent and manage disease and increase overall wellness, and to promote community wellness through the development of health-promoting programs, resources, policies, and research. The curriculum is uniquely designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work with American Indian/Alaska Native communities. Students with this degree can continue to the Bachelor of Science in Public Health at SKC.

Public Health Bachelor of Science

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health empowers you to address health inequities and drive systems change at the population level. Building seamlessly on the A.S. in Public Health, this program deepens your understanding of the biological, environmental, and political determinants of health. Through culturally grounded coursework and hands-on practicums, you will master health data analysis, program design, and policy evaluation. Graduates emerge ready to work collaboratively with American Indian/Alaska Native communities, prepared for impactful entry-level careers or advanced study in Master of Public Health (MPH) and related graduate programs.
