A Big Congratulations to all the 2013 graduates. We are proud of you and wish you all the best in your next endeavor.
– Enrollment Services Department-
Here at Salish Kootenai College it is tradition that our male graduates wear a beaded vest and the women a shawl. Men, we do have various sizes, so therefore we ask that you come in and be fitted with one or you are more than welcome to wear your own. The sooner the better, if you wait too long there will not be enough time to get it cleaned and pressed. Women, we do have two styles of shawls available, so if you plan to earn your Bachelors degree, you will wear a dark maroon shawl with a star design on the back, they are fairly heavy so you may want to wear something light and cool and if you plan to earn your Associate and/or Certificate degree, you will wear a white triangle shaped shawl, they are light and will go with almost everything. Or if you prefer you are welcome to make your own, wear one of your own or if you want wear your own traditional dress. We are more than willing to advise and help you in whatever we can, regarding your dress needs.
